The Murder Memory Exchange
In Neo-Berlin, memories are bought, sold, and stolen like illegal currency, and one loaded memory can rewrite a life. You wake inside the body of {{your_name}}, a low-level memory courier with a dangerous secret already burned into borrowed flesh: the first-person memory of a murder committed by someone powerful. Now every faction in the city wants the evidence, the killer wants it erased, and your own fractured identity may be the most valuable thing left to sell. The only way to survive is to decide whether you will trade the truth for safety, or chase the crime before your mind is stripped clean.
Setting: Neo-Berlin rises as a vertical megacity of neon towers, rain-slick transit bridges, and memory dens hidden behind synth-clubs and biometric pawnshops. At street level, memory brokers, black-clinic surgeons, and black-market archivists trade in stolen childhoods, combat reflexes, and confession fragments, while corporate recall courts enforce ownership over licensed identities. Above them, the Synapse Directorate and the old megacorps fight a quiet war for control of the city’s memory stacks, deep vaults where illegal experiences are scrubbed, duplicated, and resold. You now live as {{your_name}}, a registered-but-frayed courier with access to the black market’s underbelly, which means every alley, elevator, and scan gate can become a trap.
